"I received an email from Bitcion support team yesterday. Email was sent by bitcoin global support teamleader Stanislav Havryliuk. They ask me to send them a picture of my National ID card, a selfie and a bill which has my name on it. They say they would release my withdrawal when I send them these documents. Anybody received an email like this?"
View the entire topic & thread (13 posts, several miners report that they've not been paid and that weeks / months have passed) at forum.bitcoin.com/mining-support/delay-in-withdrawal-of-funds-t136012.html or at The Wayback Machine if the post(s) are removed by staff or if the Forum itself is retired at some point as many of Bitcoin.com's products have been this year as the company continues their winddown and focuses mainly on their now closed-source Bitcoin[.]com Wallet (which, at very least, will continue to support Bitcoin Cash (BCH) which is a major plus, advantage and benefit for all of us who want to free the world).
In addition there are several or more other topics & threads on the Forum about Bitcoin.com halting payouts from their mining pool this year (2021) (as well as some users who began experiencing this as far back as mid or late 2020).
For the record, Bitcoin.com NEVER required identification (or anything other than a random username and an email address) to mine on their pool (pool began mining on September 21, 2016 and their final day of mining was on or about July 13, 2021) nor to receive payouts.
The Bitcoin.com Mining Pool has not found a Bitcoin (BTC) block since April 20, 2021 (last block found was 679929). Moreover, the pool only found five(5) Bitcoin (BTC) blocks in 2021:
The Bitcoin.com Mining Pool has not found a Bitcoin Cash (BCH) block since July 13, 2021 (block 696197):
Why are names and identity documents required now for unpaid earnings? The Bitcoin.com Pool hasn't operated since mid July of this year (and unpaid earnings go back at least as far as February of this year, if not longer (maybe Q4 2020?).
My guess is that the Bitcoin.com might want a record of these particular payouts and proof of to whom the payouts were made out to in case any miner later on claims that the pool never settled their account (and are still awaiting their withdraw).
Back in June (2021) I learned (from a source at the company) that the company did plan to pay their miners in Q3 of this year. So they're a little late but payouts were already exceptionally late and overdue anyhow.
Earlier this year I publicly suggested, diplomatically speaking, that users mine on a different pool. It's great that there's lots of loyal miners out there but the time had come (long ago) to move on.
My suggestion was (and is) to mine Bitcoin Cash (BCH)(you can also "merge mine" Namecoin, Elastos and other coins at the same time) on the BTC.com Pool and/or on the ViaBTC.com Pool (both of which of course also support mining Bitcoin (BTC) if that's the coin you're after).
Update 1 (date of update: Nov. 29, 2021):
"Well, my BTC withdrawal process was successfully finished. I sent Bitcoin Global Support team the requested documents and they released my BTC funds the next day."
Update 2 (date of update: Nov. 30, 2021):
"Hi there everyone! Good day! If you have received an email to process and submit documents for KYC, We would encourage you to submit the documents right away, so that our team can release your pending withdrawals as soon as possible. If you need more clarification or information, please contact us at pool@bitcoin.com."
